If you have your own approved building plans and would like to build using KOTO Building Solution then here is the procedure

1.  Pay the relevant commitment fees of Kshs. 100,000/= for bungalows and Maisonettes, Kshs.50,000 for Classrooms and Kshs. 300,000/= for blocks of flats, projects and Complete Schools

2.  Submit your detailed plans for review, moderation and preparation of Bill of Quantities by Koto Housing Kenya Limited.

3.  Receive revised and signed architectural plans and Bill of Quantities.

4.  Organise financing for the construction cost of the house/project  e.g through savings, or take a mortgage loan from one of our partners.

5.  Sign the KOTO Building Contract.

6.  Pay the construction cost as per the agreed Priced Bills of Quantities

7.  KOTO Housing Kenya Limited builds your dream house as per the construction delivery contract

 

Other KOTO Requirements:

1.  Ensure your plot is fenced or there is adequate security on site

2.  Ensure utilities e.g water / electricity / sewer are on site

3.  Sketch plans of the site showing relevant access roads to your site

4. Ensure your land is level and firm.

 

County License Requirements for Approval of Building Drawings;

  1. Current Certified copy of the Title Deed from Ministry of Lands (3 months or less)

  2. Relevant Rates Receipt for current year

  3. Copy of Previously approved Plans (if redeveloping existing building)

 

Client Responsibility for building plans approval

You will be responsible for the following;

  1. Physically delivering the above drawings/documents to the approving authority.

  2. Paying ALL the relevant approval fees to the County.
